Our team knows how to put together a kitchen that looks and functions like a dream—and can be built to code and budget. And you only have to communicate with one company. Here's how it works:

Make an appointment for a free initial consultation. Though you're always welcome to stop by the RSM Designs showroom, we like to go to your house for the first meeting so we get a handle on your space. This is a no-cost, no-obligation visit: You get to pick our brains for an hour.
To make the best use of the time, it's a good idea for you to prepare a little in advance. Think about what you and your family like and dislike about your current kitchen and/or home, as well as what general styles you like—contemporary, traditional, country or eclectic. Pull together pictures of designs that you like and reviewing the planning questionnaires provided on this page.
One of our design consultants will meet with you to discuss your home, your needs, your likes and dislikes and your wishlist. We will want to get an idea of the scope of your project: a kitchen, a bathroom, an addition or other room. The design consultant also will measure your space with a tape measure and take some digital
pictures.

Within 7 to 10 workdays, the design consultant will call you back for a second meeting, usually in our showroom. In addition to preliminary drawings, suggestions and ideas, we’ll also provide a range of estimated prices based on different product options.
To make sure RSM Designs is a good fit for you, we'll answer any questions you have about our process, then talk about what kind of timeline and budget you have in mind. At this point, if we are in agreement, the design consultant will ask for a retainer—typically $1,500 for a kitchen—to proceed. RSM Designs credits the design retainer toward the cost of
construction.

Based on your responses to the preliminary concepts, we will discuss adjustments you want to make to the floor plan, how you want to use the space and your product selections. After further refining, you’ll be invited back to the showroom for a presentation and review.
Design documentation will include a floor plan, mechanical and electrical plans, and elevations. Work will continue until you are 100 percent satisfied.

With a detailed drawing and product selections made, we can now prepare a final estimate and go to contract. As a licensed general contractor, we do all the scheduling and coordinating. The carpentry and installation is done by in-house labor, although we do subcontract some electrical and mechanical work. We can even do the painting if you wish.
RSM Designs offers a 1-year warranty on all materials and labor.
